Dana and Heather Smith began coordinating weddings in 1995 for a large church in Columbus, Ohio. As church coordinators, Dana and Heather coordinated more than 50 weddings each year between 1995 and 2000. Upon encouragement from family, friends, and clients, Dana and Heather decided to launch their own business in 2001, now known as The BridalSmiths.
Dana and Heather both graduated from The Ohio State University. Dana received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Consumer Economics in 1987. Heather received her Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management in 1992. Heather spent more than 13 years working as a Merchandinse Planner for Victoria's Secret and Bath and BodyWorks Direct. They were both members of The Ohio State University Marching Band where they learned the importance of skillful coordination to accomplish a goal.
